Conservative couple considering move to austin are

My husband and I are in the early stages of planning a move to Austin. Both of our companies are large in the area so transfering should'nt be a problem. We had also considered moving to the fort worth/dallas area. He favors a move to Austin. We are conservative, friendly, baptists who want to find a better economy, political enviroment, and less expensive place to live. We currently reside in Portland OR and are sick of the liberal attitude, lack of economic opportunity and high cost of housing.We also have a young daughter so any information on the availability, cost and quality of daycare would be helpful. Any information or opinions as to whether this would be a good move for us would be much appreciated. Thanks!
