The truth about Austin, Tx

If you are set on living in the state of Texas, Austin should be at or near the top of the list of places to live. Austin is not what it used to be and sadly is looking more and more like Houston. It is a fairly diverse city and for the most part the people are friendly. Highest cost of living in the state. Many college graduates are making $10-$13/hr in this town. UT students don't leave the city and employers take advantage of this by offering lower wages. Townlake near downtown is a nice place to walk and jog. Summers here are miserable unless you like taking 3 showers a day. The state history museum and IMAX theatre are pretty cool. "Music Capital of the World" is a little overrated. You be the judge of this town. Good luck.
