I moved to Charlotte from Ohio in March 07. Charlotte has many transplants from other states and the southern hospitality certainly has been erased. Although parts of the city is among the most beautiful I've seen (and I've seen many), the arrogance of the residence is evident in the stores and driving down the streets. I've yet to conclude the reason for such attitude. I've not met anyone here that is deserving of such a high opinion of themself. The climate is average for this geographic lattitude.

This attitude is a direct result of northerners who refuse to assimilate into their new city, thenblame others for their arrogance. My advice to Tim is to get on I-77 North...and keep going! Don't look back...if where you are form is os great, back back and stay in your little hole.

Hi Tim, I am a laid back northerner...I never believed that you are judged because of where you are from or who you are...There are good and bad people in every walk of life...I came here with such an optimistic outlook...Have met some very nice people and met some not so nice people when they found out I was from the north...Never experienced anything like this in my life...There are so many more important issues in the world that we should be focusing on. Don't blame all of us for some bad apples...No pun intended.....

Hi Tim, I know what you're talking about. Funny thing...I always thought it was the transplants that were arrogant and rude. Thank you for pointing that out and making me more aware of how I treat others.
