After 14 months in Charlotte from the west coast

Charlotte has a good job market (I have a great job, with great people and a great company), nice people, and not too expensive. But, for a single 30 year old guy used to fitness minded folks, outdoors events and a social life Charlotte is severly lacking. Its a great city if you are married with kids. but for a single male it is an absolute graveyard. To be quite candid, After living in Phx, Colorado Springs, and New Mexico. Charlotte is one of the most boring, lonely, and unfriendly city I have ever lived in. It was so easy to make friends and find dates out west, it is impossible if you aren't married or native to the south. I love my job and my career is what motivates me, but I detest Charlotte and NC. Its great because I have more time to focus on work, but very lonely. Charlotte is a horrible city for singles, especially males from the west. The women here are not as nice, fit, talented as women in the west. I give Charlotte a big fat F for quality of living- social life. Very hard to make friends here, just not a fun place. But again, great for married folks and families, if you are single DONT come here. you will regret it.
