Review of Costa Mesa, California

I lived there for 34 years
Star Rating - 7/17/2006
I was born in Newport Beach and lived in Costa Mesa for 34 years. I watched as my little town was infested with illegals. The educataion dropped, there was more traffic, drugs and the housing and property taxes through the roof. I got tired of smog, no trees and sick of a 20 mile ride taking 2 hours by car in any direction. Yes, it's close to the polluted beaches, Disneyland and nightlife and entertainment, but that's not living. I sold and moved out-of-state and up north. Now I have many trees, lakes, parks and clean air. And I'm still near the beach, on a harbor in fact and every once in awhile I have deer walking through my backyard. In Costa Mesa. The only wildlife I ever saw was oopossum and sometimes the neighbors. If you want a good quality of life stay out of California.
