Most of the crimes that occur in Detroit go unreported. Most citizens have little faith in the Detroit Police. There is no reason to report most crimes, becuase they will go unsolved anyways. Detroit is reported as #1 most dangerous city. Imagine if all crimes that were committed were reported...
My house was broke into about 2 years ago. I called 911. They said they would send a unit over. I stayed up all night waiting. The next morning I called, and they said they never recieved the call. Still, to this day the crime went unreported. Most people would think I should have went down to the police station to report it so I can make my insurance claim, but wait! The insurance rates are so high here because of the high crime, in addition to the false claims people make to rip off the insurance companies that no decent working individual can afford it. I had about $4,000 of belongings stolen, and I could get robbed every 2 years and still be in a better financial position then if I was to hold an insurance policy.
If you move to Detroit...move to a suburb!
