Detroit. Please do not move there .

My mother(born in Columbus, Ga) moved to Detroit to live with my Uncle. Later, she married the man I call my father(born in Bluefield, WV).
Step-DaDs do not get enough credit. He gave me his name and knowledge of survival. This knowledge was not good enough to keep us out of harms way.
1. My mother was mugged twice before she met my father.
2. My mother's car was stolen when she went to the store for some bread.
3. A Stranger knocked on the door claiming to fix our TV while my father
wasn't home. It was just my mother, sister, and I at home at the time.
4. Someone tried to break-in the house while I was home.
5. Someone broke in my Parent's home a year after I went off to
the Marine Corp.
6. Finally, my father was robbed at gun point while waiting in the car
for the barber shop to open.
All this happen within seven years.
There is a God because I now live in Pensacola FL. Hurricanse vs. Crime.
Thanks to weather updates I can run from a hurricane. I do not think you can do the same with CRIME. Good luck if you want to stay in Detroit. I guarantee you will need it.
