No way I would live there again

I was born and raised in Fayetteville. I moved away for good in 1997. This town has nothing to offer young people, especially educated young people. This place is for the baby boomer generation and older. This is a dingy military town. Crime is high for a city of this size. Nightlife is a disappointment at best. Meeting single women is almost impossible, useless you're a church goer, soldier, or don't mind women with children at a young age. Most of the women are looking for the GI Joes. This is very much a bible belt place. Churches are everywhere along with people trying to get you to join. Another poster stated the population is diverse, but still segregated. I second that. The summers are miserable, high heat and humidity. Unless you want to work in food or retail, good paying jobs are not in this town. If you're looking for a lively downtown or culture, not here. However, if you need a used car or a pawn shop, this town has to be the capital for both. If my parents did not live here, it would be unlikely I would come back, except to visit a few people I know. My favorite thing about Fayetteville is that I don't live there. For anyone looking at moving here, think 3 times before doing it.
