I no longer live in Fremont, and I would not move back. Diversity is great and all, but when certain people walk in the streets pushing strollers to avoid the "path of the infidels" (aka sidewalks) it becomes somewhat discusting to live there. 880 and 680 are in constant gridlock, mostly from the smart people who commute to San Jose from places further north. No downtown, nothing to offer. Pediatrician couldnt qualify for a mortgage on a fixer upper here without a winning lottery ticket. And if you want an apartment, be careful, as this is where the slums of Fremont are neatly tucked behind walls. Although it is a great location if youre looking for a hotel, its just toxic and inhospitable as a place to live.
