Moved here from New York 11 years ago and still don't like it.. Now I have two childern and hate even more. We are looking to move within 5 years just have to wait until the house market gets better, wonder if that will ever happen. The school system SUCKS here there is only ONE SCHOOL DISTRICT and about 40 kids per class room and NO BUDGET for the SCHOOLS.. and no one in GOVERMENT seems to care about that. They rather cut the budget for education and put the money back into the casinos. Yes it is great to have no state taxes and yes property taxes are cheaper but you know what people that is all about to change... Sales tax in Vegas in now 8.1% and to
register you vehicle will cost you anywhere from $200.00 and up depending on the year and how much you paid for it and it only goes down 10% every year. It is great to live here if you are single or married with no childern and you like the night life other than that why bother. It is my opinion that Las Vegas is not a place to raise a family.
