Well I am a very honest person and will tell anyone the truth. I moved here to SW Vegas 2-1/2 years ago thinking this was a good place to retire somewhat young. Biggest mistake of my life. Housing was the only saving grace. I originally lived in cali, then moved to Oregon for 15 years then here. This is not a town for families with children, the school system here is the worst in the country and we are also known for the highest domestic violence in the nation. Unemployment is difficult to find and seems like everyone here has to work 2-3 jobs to make ends meet. This causes alot of stress and unhappy people. I work in retail and see sad, depressed people everyday because the economy here sucks. I am selling and probably will lose alot of money but feel it is worth getting the hell out of this horrible town. Love the weather but people are rude, and on our roads over 115 traffic related deaths so far since Jan. Wow pedestrians don't have a chance here. Drivers are by far the worse I have ever seen. I do not go out at night because I see drunk drivers on the road constantly. Oh well we all live and learn and I sure learned my lesson. Back to Oregon. I will take tree huggers any day over this hell hole!
