I hate Las Vegas!

When I moved to Las Vegas in 1995 I really liked it a lot. Traffic was not a big deal, weather was great, lots of great restaurants, etc. Since the big housing boom 4 years ago, this city has become a miserable place to live. The massive influx of people and the kind of people that relocoated here have overshadowed any good about Las Vegas. People are purposefully antagonistic on the road. People speed up so as to purposefully not let you over. You routinely get flipped off and people like to purposefully come right up on your rear bumper and then violently swerve into another lane. You might think it is my driving that causes these things...I can assure you it is not. It is the mentality of this town, "every man for himself at the expense of everyone else." I feel extremely unsafe driving around town with my child. Last night my husband and I had our house broken into. So now I feel unsafe coming home every night. If I could move out of Las Vegas tomorrow I would. We will definitely be relocating somewhere else in the next year. We have a 14 month child and one on the way. I certainly can't raise my children here! I have many friends who are long time residents of Las Vegas and they are are also unhappy with the town since the big housing boom and influx of people. Maybe it is a nice place to live for someone who cares nothing about their fellow mankind...you'll be right at home.
