to live in Las Vegas or not to live in Las Vegas..

I have had the chance to move around the states in the last 4 years, after living in Las Vegas 20-25 years. It was a desert city, not too far away from a one-horse town with cheesy entertainment= then it grew so fast into the "mega-stores" with world size entertainment.
Working in the casinos in a non-union job was very fast paced, fun while you're young; exhausting as you age because you give 110% all day/ everyday. I got a unique look into a union paying job at the Hilton one summer. It was a city unto itself, so many workers! And they were 99% from all these other countries; all getting fantastic wages, health care, benefit packages, and retirement checks to come.(because they will all be here until then). I only wished my brother was privy to those same possibilities; he'd been out of a job 2 years straight.!!!
