Las Vegas is high and dry

The climate is great: hot and dry as you would expect for the desert. But dry is an under statement as I have witnessed rain 3 times in 5 years. Winter is very mild. I own a jacket but no coat. The heat is dry so it feels cooler than it is. The best way to describe it is set your oven to 120 degrees then stick your head inside. Perspiration is minimal so good hydration is a must. It snowed once. That was weird.
