Lexington is land-locked. there are no major rivers, lakes, or bodies of water anywhere near downtown, a couple of man-made little lakes surrounded by subdivisions. No bike paths accessible throughout the city, roads are dominated by cars and congested particularly in rush times. Not a lot of outdoor awareness given our mild climate most of the year.
