Priced out of everywhere else in LA that's supposed to be 'hip', I found myself looking at places to live in the hills of Tujunga.
Can't believe it hadn't occurred to me to check this area out sooner.
Ok, it's a little sleepy - but I can drive a generally traffic free route to Burbank studios every day to work in around 25 minutes, plus get most other places fast and without wasting hours sitting in trafiic on the freeways. Now I get to live in a nice big house in the hills for the same money as a tiny hovel in a sketchy area of Highland Park. The neighborhood is totally friendly. I really don't get why this area hasn't caught on yet.
