Review of Maine, Maine

Living the community life
Star Rating - 5/27/2006
The further north you go in Maine - the further back you step in time. Many of Maine's little villages are still thriving even with the loss of multiple manufacturing jobs. "Real" Maine people know how to "make do" with little complaint. Most are willing to lend their experience to the innocent newcomers from "away". Maine is a feeling of coming home. I have never felt that I have missed out on anything else that is going on in the world. Most of the villages have their own community theaters, art galleries, church suppers, etc. There is always the internet and an international airport centrally located. The scenery is spectacular and privacy is always respected. It is an amazing place to live.
