Review of Memphis, Tennessee

Great
Star Rating - 11/1/2007
Memphis offers a lot of great things. We have our Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Orpheum Theater that host Broadway hits, the FedEx Forum that is home to the Memphis Grizzlies, the Memphis Redbirds Baseball team that is AAA, Beale Street that is home of the blues, the Peabody Hotel that is historic, a great natural park called Shelby Farms and not to mention the mighty Mississippi River!

Sure, we are on the move with our added attractions; However, that is "one side of the coin", what about the other side such as the growing crime rate here...what sane individual would actually want to spend much time here...Each time the COGIC members hold conventions here, I feel so bad for the vandalisms and crimes they endure in our city. It's bad enough the city goes "beserk" and most business owners raise their dinning fees, hotel fees, etc. high as they possibly can to grab as many dollars off visitors as they can! I will agree downtown Memphis is now beautiful..but that's only part of the "big pic".
