Memphis is the armpit of America. Patricia is right—there is nothing here to offer our children. There are no recreational activities whatsoever. The heat is unbearable, unless it's winter, in which case it rains contiunally. The government is a farce, as is the educational system. The only saving grace to Memphis is the low cost of living, but as the old addage goes: You get what you pay for.
And let's not forget racial tension. Let me repeat this point for greater emphasis—LET'S NOT FORGET RACIAL TENSION!!!!! If you are a blonde whilte woman in the city, don't expect southern hospitality. In fact, don't even expect to be waited on or checked out in a market. Seriously.
This isn't even a place worth visiting. I've spent 15 greuling years here. It may be too late for me, but please, save yourselves and STEER CLEAR OF MEMPHIS!!!!!
