Review of Miami, Florida

Nothing but evil and hatred in the air
Star Rating - 4/21/2009
All that Miami has going for is weather, which is really only nice for about half the year and then becomes so unbearably hot and humid that you don't even want to step outside for more than 30 seconds. Go from one air conditioned cavern to another. Everyone hates each other and is miserable, which might have something to do with the incredible heterogeneous makeup of the population. Forget about friendly people or smiling faces and any public realm worth visiting, other than the Chili's and Friday's in the local commercial district just to get out of the house and see other human beings not behind the wheel of their car while you yell at them for cutting you off in traffic. The movie theater is ok too, but its dark and private in there and you don't have to look at anyone or have anyone look at you and be succumb to their judgement and hatred of you for existing and taking up valuable diminishing resources. People here spend hours a day in their cars driving to no apparent destination wasting gas and space. If they do have somewhere to go, it is not somewhere they want to be going. There is no industry here other than drugs and hospitality, where people with no money are serving those higher up on the food chain than them while on drugs that they buy with the money they make serving people, many of who make the very drugs that their servants are taking to ease the pain of working a meaningless pointless job. Do not question why there are so many people on the roads in the middle of the day no matter what part of town you are in. There is no answer, and if you try to spend time figuring it out you will die a premature death. The unemployment rate is higher than 7 percent, I am sure of that. Driving and drugs is all there is to do here. Not really a city for outdoor people, biking is incredibly dangerous, unless you enjoy fishing overfished waters and are able to afford a floating toy, then I urge you and hope you take my plea seriously. Anywhere but here! Move to northern montana and live in the mountains or go back in time to be an ancient egyptian pyramid building slave. I urge you to listen to all that I say and if you don't know what I'm talking about, some day you will. Some day

Thank you! Same in Tampa area. Warn people! Stay away! Nice place to visit. We moved from St. Pete to Maine. FL stinks all around. I see people saying the climate is great, are they kidding? You have to stay in AC all year round. Maybe older people get cold easily, but I can't imagine anyone else liking that climate.
