Hot and isolated!

I've lived all over California my entire life, from the SF Bay Area to San Diego. Modesto is among the worst places to raise a family I can think of. We're in the process of looking to get out. The weather is not at all mild, it is blazing hot from May to October. The parks aren't very clean, and the kids can't go on them with the weather...the playground equipment is so hot they get burned! Also, the people are very rude and me-first oriented. Not the place to raise kids. The gang problem is so far out of control it's ridiculous, and no peoperty is safe, even if nailed down. Look elsewhere...
