modesto, love it!or hate it!

We just moved from the east coast since my wife couldn't stand the snow there and we choosed to live here in Riverbank, a small city just in the vicinity of Modesto.At first we didn't like it since the city itself is still developing.Lots of farmlands with only a few trees.But as we lived here longer, we are slowly appreciating the area.
I know a lot of people say that the valley is too hot on summer, but what the heck!its better than the hot humid weather in most of the east coast and just think about it, summer doesn,t last that long. Roughly it starts getting really hot on around July and starts to cool down around september.But its dry heat guys!Cumm on!You don't have to play golf in the middle of the day. Try playing at the end of the afternoon.Unless you don't like golf!Tennis courts are everywhere and free and if you want to go to a cooler place you can just drive an hour and a half to Yosemite or the bay area.
Houses are not that expensive.Nevermind the gangsters!unless you wanted to go in the middle of a gangster shotout!I would rather suggest you mind your own business and leave them to the authorities.
One more thing!Modesto is not the car theft capital of the nation. Statistically, New Haven CT has far more car theft in a year compared to Modesto while New Haven is a smaller city.
Methampethamine capital?cumm on! wake up dude! try living in the east coast and you will know.
