As someone who has also traveled extensively and also lived in many, mnay places, I have to completely disagree with Paris' posting.
New York is not the easiest place in the world to live, but my past 10 years here have been some of the best years of my life.
Perhaps Paris' attitude has a little something to do with her less than rave review of New York. Calling the people who ride the subway each "low lifes" and making racial remarks certainly won't get you anywhere here in the city. I ride the subway to work every day because I don't have to own a car here. My ride is usually fine, unless it's extremely crowded and then it's just bearable. But I don't consider my fellow passengers "low Lifes". Perhaps you should have lived in Connecticut, or Long Island, or New Jersey, where most of the people who fear this city escape to, commuting to earn a living. Perhaps your experience would have been better. In any case, it's not shared by the majority of people who came here and choose to live in one of the best cities in the world.
