As a native, born and raised, I can only agree with what people usually say. To the stranger, the City is remarkable, to the native, it's inefficient, crowded and it's social suicide living here. I myself can't wait to leave because the pace is kinetic and frantic and New Yorkers aren't the nicest people in the world. Peace sacrificed to commodity (and commodity with it's great price $$$) is no way to live.
