Yes, the cost of living is high. If you're considering relocation to San Diego consider what you pay for utilities compared to your ability to spend everyday enjoying the outdoors from the beach to the mountains. We pay a sunshine tax and in most cases, it's worth it. Every community has its flaws. Ben Franklin would make lists comparing the pros and cons of a decision. Look at the list of pros for living in San Diego compared to the cons. It is a manageable city despite the cost of living ie housing. My family has worked hard to be able to stay in San Diego and enjoy it's many benefits. It is truly one of our nation's finest cities.
