Nice Weather is not worth what we pay to live here

San Diego is a beautiful city no doubt, however the nice weather, the culture, and a few remaining friendly people I see each day does not justify the moral bankruptcy local businesses have by charging such outrageous prices. I agree with Chris, San Diego is a great place to live if your a doctor or an engineer or other graduate and you can afford to pay the premium to live here. I for one am no longer able to live here and support my family and it is a real shame. I am not a high school drop out, or criminal I have a 4-year college degree and I've served my country for 15 years in the Marine Corps. I am unable to buy a home here and the rental properties all charge ungodly amounts each month. It is difficult for me to see so many people collecting unemployment benefits and other welfare assistance driving SUV's and fully loaded sports cars. These same people are the ones lining up for free handouts everyday. I wish you all the best of luck, and I will leave you with this question. What will you do when the educated labor force leaves?
