san jose to Austin?

I am in high tech recruiting/consulting and have a thriving business here in San Jose. I am considering moving my family to Austin, from Silicon Valley to Silicon Hills! Anyone can tell me about the contract/project/consulting opps in Austin? Also, if you've frequented both SJ and Austin, any compare and contrast on the two would be appreciated.
