Better city than most.

I have lived in St. Petersburg for 12 years and I have to admit that it is better than most other cities in FL. It's very developed and has plenty to do in comparison to some other cities in the area.
The cons are: weather is too hot in the summer, you won't want to step foot outside. Traffic can be bad. The crime (property and violent) is higher than average. The southside is a con, period, unless you want to get shot through your car.
