I moved to Florida ten years ago. I lived in Tampa for the first four years and have been in Saint Petersburg the last six years. For anyone thinking about moving to Florida to escape winters up north I would consider Saint Petersburg. It has a diverse population with so much to do. I prefer St Pete because of the proximity to the gulf beaches. It is so great to take an impromptu trip to watch the sun set over the gulf.
