My wife and I moved to St. Petersburg Florida in 2000. As you can imagine the weather is one of the many reasons we moved to Florida. St. Petersburg offers the small town environment but is very progressive politically and of course most recently our sports teams have been doing very well.
Most of our family is here as well so that makes it even better because we see each other more often.
I would recommend the Tampa, St. Petersburg area to anyone who would like to slow the pace down a bit.
