SAN ANTONIO GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!

We have lived in San Antonio for over 8 years and love it! We previously lived in Europe, and South America because of my husband's job that took us to 6 countries in a 12 year period. When we decided to settle in the States we chose San Antonio. This is a truly culturally diverse city albeit not as cosmopolitan as Houston or Dallas, but has everything a large city has to offer. San Antonio has one of the largest and most prestigious medical centers in the nation with the largest military hospital BAMC. The city has great museums, a wonderful zoo, parks, a few lakes close to the city, several rivers where families go for a tube ride, the ocean is only 3 hours away, several country clubs, and other facilities. There is wide restaurant selection with a large gammet of ethnic foods from different corners of the world. This is a safe, friendly city where everyone seems to get along wonderfully. I move around freely around town and have never felt I am putting myself in harms way. Most school districts are top notch particularly if you are able to live in the more affluent areas of the city. If you are considering moving to San Antonio I suggest you choose to live close to your office to avoid traffic, choose the best neighborhood you can afford, get involved in the community, and dare to explore differnt things this wonderful city has to offer!
