Turner's Falls and the surrounding area (including Northampton and Amherst) may have great potential, but it could take about 20 years and a billion dollars to realize it. The Pioneer Valley on the whole is highly overrated--after spending five years here my family and I are calling it quits. Little or no diversity, lots of rednecks, bad drivers, and mediocre food. This is not a sanctuary for former city dwellers as many would have you believe!
