Best place we have lived

My husband and I have lived in Petoskey for 8 years. We have lived in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Virginia and Ohio and by far, Petoskey is our favorite place to live. We don't need to go on vacation for we feel like we are at our destination place almost every day. We are surrounded by beautiful crystal clear inland lakes, 2 miles from Lake Michigan, several preserves where we can go hiking and a paved bike trail with the best views of Lake Michigan. If you love mountain biking and skiing, Petoskey is the place for you. Hunters and fishermen love the area too. Cross country skiing, and showshoeing is what we do in the winter and we have several areas close by to choose from. You really cannot beat the outdoor activities here. We also love the quaint town of Petoskey. Each year, improvements are made to the town. We have one of the best bay front parks in Michigan that is free and open to the public with a beach, a breakwall that many like to jump off or fish from, a biking trail, a waterfall, a overlook tower, picnic areas and playground for the kids. Such a gorgeous area. Schools are rated well.
