Review of Austin, Texas

Homeless skyrocketing Traffic, everythin Expensive
Star Rating - 5/4/2020
I've lived in this City for 2 years with my wife, moving from cold cloudy Boston in sunny Texas. Living here we have noticed that weather is not as steady as we thought, although is lot warmer than Massachusetts lot more sunshine and drier climate. City offers a lot of opportunities, jobs, outside sitting caffe's and cool restaurants. Here you will meet few respectful people that will make your day and while driving in the city in beautiful sunny day get cut off maybe 3 or 4 times from rude drivers that make absolutely no sense and don't belong behind the wheel.
Here is the only city in the World that after calling 911 they tell you do you want the police there? And police never shows up unless you call 2 -3 times..
Rent and house prices are absolutely over expensive. Traffic is horrible due to infrastructure. Highway 35 is taking forever to be finished by contracts that are milking our tax money and elected politicians that don't set deadlines and fire the contractors. These streets and Highways are not built for this overcrowded time. They all need quick repairs , additional lanes or ramps but noone cares. The worst in Austin is the infestation of this beautiful city with very rapidly growing homeless population which are around 2600 and rising according to an official. You go to a store and in front you have homeless, you go to post office you have camping homeless greeting you, you stop at traffic sign and you get paraded from a homeless holding signs and acting like VIP between cars, you walk downtown with children and every street you get stopped and asked for money from them using dirty and offensive remarks if you don't have a pocket full of dollars to reward all of them.
The new towers are being build every block making the skyline look cool. But noone cares for traffic these towers with 12-15 floor garages and numerous employees which with their cars, will cause...
Austin needs to fix roads quickly, clear and end homeless issue by giving them shelter away from the city and making it illegal the panhandle, need more cops on the street and highways that stop and discipline aggressive drivers. This must be done for the future for our children.

Making the roads wider will only make traffic worse, you know that right?
