Denver...City with No Soul. Not a place to put roo
Star Rating - 11/16/2020
It has been a long time since i have been in Denver. On this visit it is apparent that this City is heading the wrong direction for a good quality of life and social balance. On the surface the area looks like it is doing great with expansion of communities , new construction, and road improvements, etc. However if you really look at the human experience and life here this City is failing as a community. First- there are homeless folks at almost every corner...young to old...even families..asking for support. I observed a family with a little girl and baby stroller with a positive reading sign. I went by twice to see if anyone even offered to help. Not a single person in the long line of cars even acknowledged the family much less offered any support. I observed this same need by folks everywhere i went around Denver and the exact same attitude from those that did not need assistance. I would say that Denver is a place without a human soul.
2nd- it is apparent that the legalization of drugs is attracting a very poor group of addicts and even drug pushers in the form of drug dispensaries.
3rd- the looks in a lot of the locals faces, dress, body language, and attitudes shows they simply have NO hope in life...much less joy or happiness.
Denver looks like a thriving booming metropolis...but so did Detroit before the liberal mind and actions created a 3rd world city here in America.
I would not recommend putting down roots here if you want to raise a family or desire a quality tight knit community life experience. This City is heading on the same path as Detroit, Oakland, and Baltimore.

Imagine having your mind so warped by right-wing media that you think the hillbilly, trailer trash, meth head capital of the country is "normal." You couldn't pay me enough to live in Flori-duh there "OutOfMileHigh." Polis may not be perfect, but I'd rather have him than that science-denying, Trump-sucking imbecile DeSantis as my governor.

I completely agree with this feedback. After living in Democrat run cities my entire life, (last one being Chicago) I moved to Denver 12 years ago as it was still a chill, non-partisan, live-let-live place. However over past decade, Denver and Colorado for that matter, has turned into a San Francisco with the far left politics, drugs, homeless and I could go on. Denver is phenomenal at marketing its city and also hides their crime statistics very well. Most who move to Denver, do not realize what they moved to until living there 1-2 years, then they wind out moving out. The city is extremely transient, and the amount moving in from NYC, Portland, Seattle, Chicago and San Francisco just continues the extreme liberal direction. I finally could not take the druggies, entitled hand-out crowd, any longer and cashed out. Moved to a more normal mindset area in the Southeast part of the country (FL) and wished I had gotten the heck out of CO much sooner. Denver and Colorado are beautiful but the city and state is brutal to live these days if you want a quality life. Btw, the weather is damn cold at night so don't let the temperature averages fool you. It is a very cold city figuratively and literally.
