NOT BAD, BUT, THINGS ARE CHANGING

Moved from O'Side (lived there 25 years), too Fallbrook 2016. I had worked for U.P.S. And Delivered The Entire F.B., DeLuz, Rainbow and Bonsall area from 1990 thru 1996. During those years and up until about 2005, F.B. was a really nice town with a "small town feel" that offered acreage, low crime rates, good weather and a small population. Around 2000, many Mexicans came into town. Around 2003, many Guatemalans followed. Before the Mexicans and Guatemalans came, The Apartments, mobile home parks and all of the houses were occupied/owned by Caucasians. The Military was able to get of work and drive minutes to their rented apartments/houses. Now, 98% of the apartments are rented by the Hispanic population forcing the Military members to drive to Riverside County towns- about a 45 minute commute 1 way. The Mexicans are upset because the Guatemalans came in and took over their jobs. Most all mobile home parks are also occupied by the Hispanic population and, many of the "outlaying areas" houses are being bought by the Hispanic Populations also. The remaining Caucasians live, mostly, in the outlaying areas. They are, for the most part: unfriendly, nosy, snooty, over-reaching folk. The crime rate has increased from, mainly, property crimes to: shootings/stabbings, drugs, gangs (hispanics), d.u.i.'s, burglary ect.... Weather is Good if you like it to be average of 90 degree plus in summer. past 2 summers have experienced a lot of humidity (global changes). Commute times out of town to get to San Diego County areas are increasing. Takes, at times, 40 minutes to get to Coastal O'Side.
There is affordable (relative) housing with larger lot or acreage if you can afford 600k plus. Most all of the 400k-500k houses up town are owned by the Hispanic Community. And, they are now buying in the out lying areas. Folk from L.A. County & Orange county have been buying in F.B., Bonsall ect... for the past 25 years due to the over population in those areas. Yet, F.B. is going to BLOW UP population wise within the next 3 years. Palomar College is opening a satellite location at the 78 & 15 junction and, tract housing is being built there as of now. The WORLD has become over populated during the past 4 decades and MUCH MORE TO COME...

David's observations ignore the military chopper noise pollution over the most densely populated areas of Fallbrook. An old agreement to exit and enter the base over the ocean seems forgotten. The noise is annoying enough but black oily residue on my car and boat, I suspect from the choppers black exhaust, just frosts the cake. Frequent armed chopper traffic makes it unavoidable to think of one losing power or dropping ordinance over my neighborhood. There's much to love about Fallbrook but the small town peace and quiet I expected were never realized. The intrusive industrial racket ominously overhead at all hours is very real and impossible to ignore. The air pollution is more subtle but also very real and visible on anything left outside. I planned to be here forever but I’m planning one more move, hopefully to find freedom from needless noise and air pollution and worry about machinery and ordinance possibly falling from the sky. I guess this commentary won't help anyone's property values but maybe if enough Fallbrook people read it they will stop being so complacent and demand more respect from the neighboring military. Who knows, if no one complains they may think we enjoy the noise.
