Schools in Monterey, CA

Monterey, California is home to a variety of excellent schools. The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District offers highly rated schools from elementary through high school. Monterey High School was recently ranked in the top 5 percent of all public schools in the state and has received recognition for its impressive academic program. Other local schools such as Santa Catalina Middle School and Coast Union High School have also been recognized for their outstanding achievements in academics and athletics. These schools provide students with an excellent educational environment with a wide range of challenging courses, extracurricular activities, and student services to help them succeed. In addition, many of the local schools offer dual language programs as well as opportunities for international exchange that allow students to gain valuable cultural experiences outside of the classroom.
