Not so bad

I moved away from Atlanta about a year ago, and I miss it so much! The negatives people talk about are legitimate--high housing costs, crime, traffic (absolutely unbelievable), etc. Similar to a lot of other large cities. So what do I miss? Diversity--in every way--racial, sexual orientation, political, etc. Also, shopping, restaurants, entertainment in general is great. There are lots of jobs. There are plenty of lousy public schools, but also some very good ones in the metro area. I guess it's a mixed bag (like most places), and it just depends on what you like, what you can live with, and what is important to you.
