| 10/18/2009 | other | Everything about the school is amazing. It is a Philadelphia public school, but it could easily be a school in the suburbs. It has great students, involved parents, and highly skilled teachers. |
| 10/17/2009 | parent | Cook-Wissahickon is a great school. My son has been there for three years and each year we are amazed by what it has to offer. I attended Cook as a child and I am glad that my children have the opportunity to experience Cook-Wissahickon. |

| 10/16/2009 | parent | I am ashamed to say that my children have been to four different schools because my husband & I felt that they just were not getting what they needed. After a few days at Cook Wisaahickon, we felt that our search was over. Thank you to everyone who helps in one way or another to make it such a wonderful school! |
| 10/16/2009 | parent | The Communication between the Teacher and Parent on a Daily Bases, The Principal Ms. Jenkins gets involve allowing you to know who she is and as a Principal what she is their for and she care about your child and their safety nothing I heard I saw for myself. How the Teacher is concerns of what goes on with child without getting to personal |
| 9/30/2009 | teacher | It ha great students and parents. |
| 9/29/2009 | parent | I believe the key to education is communication between the teacher(s) and the parent(s) and this school has it!!! |
| 9/24/2009 | parent | Cook Wissahickon has the best teachers around! These teachers care about every student in the school, not only in their class. These teachers stay late, come in early and really embody what a true leader and role model is. The principal is a visonary who not only tells others what to do, but does it herself. I cannot say enough about the staff of Cook Wissahickon. I feel that my son has the best that a school can offer, and years from now, he will have benefitted from what he has learned here at Cook Wissahickon |

| 9/21/2009 | parent | Cook-Wissahickon has an excellent Science program, links with community organizations such as Arthur Ashe and Philadelphia University to provide unique opportunties for their students. They offer small class sizes and have excellent parental involvement!!! |
| 9/21/2009 | parent | The school is a great community of strong teachers and staff and involved parents. |
| 9/20/2009 | parent | It is a place where are students can be themselves and do not worry about being judged. They feel safe in this envirorment and are welcomed with smiles everyday. |

| 9/19/2009 | parent | This is one of the few great schools in the Philadelphia Public School System, working hard to be one of the first 'green' retro-fitted schools in the city! |

| 9/18/2009 | parent | Cook-Wissahickon is a great neighborhood school that's getting better and more popular with local families every day! |
| 9/7/2009 | parent | My daughter, too, attended private school for a couple of years before transferring to Cook. We could not be more thrilled with the school. It has all of the aspects of the private school from before (great teachers, excellent tech resources, etc) without any of the 'downsides' of the private school (commute, lack of diversity, costly). Parent involvement in the school - combined with an interested, invested and committed teaching staff - has made Cook a wonderful place for my daughter to be. I agree that there could be more athletics and I believe that this is something the school is trying to do. There is a running program and a tennis program which meet after school (though admittedly, I don't know the details). I would also like to see more art and music. I know this is something that the parents are working towards. All in all, extremely happy. |
| 9/6/2009 | parent | My daughter entered the 7th grade after the private school she had been atending all of her school years had closed. She was excited and a little aprehensive about going into 'unchartered and unfamiliar' waters but her fears were soon dissolved. She loves the teachers and the principal is 'no nonsense' which we are glad of. The curriculum is taught by professional and knowledgeable teachers and the support staff are nurturing making the children feel as if they were home. We are very pleased with our choice of this public school. We also believe that there could be a better rounded atletic department offering more extra-curricular activities for the children> |
| 3/9/2009 | parent | We first came to Cook after being obligated by doing what was best for our daughter to do a school transfer. We are hapy we made the change. The teachers are great, the principle is more than involved, the educational help for children in need is more available then we found elsewhere, and the b4 and after care program is beyond affordable. With that being said we acknowledge that a few changes would be good such as additional activities for younger students and uniforms with the school logo. I understand they did have this in the past and it didn't do well however, with each new year comes possible sales... We look forward to finishing this year and starting a new year in the fall. In conclusion; Cook is a public school with a private school feel in need of a little work to make it perfect. |
