39 years in Bullhead Only 90 from Las Vegas - 4/25/2023
My parents brought me to bullhead City when I was 10 years old. I am now 49 still living in bullhead City Arizona. That's 39 years. I've raised four children here and now have one grandchild here. First let's talk about the schools. My oldest son excelled so much in school he completed college English 101 with a B when he was 11 years old. My oldest daughter excelled so much in school she skipped 8th grade. The other two both had straight A's. All going to public school. Some people bag on the schools here but first need to take a look at their parenting skills. I always added extra workbooks for their grade level for math and English since first grade. When they would finish their extra couple of workbooks for their grade level I would move them up to the next grade level. Next let's talk about traffic I've been in real estate for 17 years I average about 50 miles a day driving around this town and the traffic during rush hour takes me 20 minutes to get across the entire city. Worst place - 7/19/2018
I moved here about a year ago. I have lived in many towns and cities, from Evanston Wyoming to Phoenix Arizona and places in between. Bullhead city is by far the worst I've had the unpleasure to live in. If you have kids of any age really, there is almost nothing for them to do here. The people that live here are cranky old people that try to get in your business as soon as they see you. The traffic is bad. The cleanliness of the city is bad, worse then Phoenix Arizona. The country side is a fantastic view of one type of bush (creosote), sand/dirt and rocks. With Mountains around with only rocks on them. If you happen to see a tree it's usually small. The people that do live here are not very intelligent and look like trailer trash. Why people come to this place to vacation is beyond my comprehension when there are many way way better places to vacation. If the state of Arizona had an a**hole it would be bullhead city. The shopping choices are a variety of 4 major retailers. Read More

Great weather today warm and sunny. - 5/2/2018
Other then the drug people moving here from California this is a great place. The river and the lake. Always a mild breeze but sometimes windy and that blows trash around. The worst thing here is the city government. Never get anything done. And lie so they can keep their job even if they do nothing. And they are so corrupt if you got the bribe etc. Most people here are good people. But the worst of California and Mexico's trash show up here and try to live under the radar and hide from there crimes here and the police well I know a girl that is wanted for 39 felony counts of bank fraud and they will not arrest her
She is on heroin and is a hooker too. Steals from anyone and owes everyone. Yet the police do nothing. Time to get rid of the trash of the golden state and Mexico out of here and make this a place for living life Read More

Good Place to Raise Kids and Retire - 1/26/2018
My husband and I retired here after losing our home during the economic downturn. Priced out of CA, we looked to this town as we vacationed here often and loved the river vibe. Well this little town was easy to start over in...we’ve been here over 6 years and own a home again.. Casino jobs are minimum wage but plentiful. Some bigger companies are moving in slowly. The traffic is always manageable and one long parkway takes you from the community college to the casinos in 15 minuets tops. The desert beauty has really intoxicated both of us and we’ve taken up hiking and rock hunting. Summers are brutal...last summer it was

120 for a week straight. And it stays just under 120 most Of the early summer. We make the River our friend, lots of swimming, fishing, then napping w a good A/C and box fans. Black out curtains, road trips out of town, etc...all help. Chores in the evening . Many stores are open 24 hours. Whatever works. I tell you, without that summer heat, Read More

There is not much to do here except work, shop for basic necessities, tolerate the desert heat and go across the state line into Nevada and gamble in Laughlin. It is a very boring area if one is not into giving away hard earned money to the Read More

Worst City in America - 12/26/2014
No jobs here...at all. City itself is very dirty, bad roads, high crime, and the most druggie/tweakers/homeless you will ever see. It is literally impossible to drive down I 95 through Bullhead and not see somebody shaking and talking to themselves. You cant even go to the park because all the picnic tables are occupied by bums and their sleeping bags. The police force here is the most corrupt I have ever seen. They make up stories just to make sure they fill their quotas. I got pulled over one time with a puppy Chihuahua that weighed two pounds. On the police report, the cop said I threatened him with my pit bull!I am not exaggerating, this opinion is coming from someone who lived in Tucson, which statistically speaking the worst crime city in American right now. The casino town across the river is nothing but low paying jobs in dying casinos that cater to 99% seniors. Hotter than hell itself in the summer with temperatures often climbing above 120 degrees. Bull $#@! city - 6/1/2014
Welcome to Bull$!@# city. We recently moved here about 7 months ago from L.A. California. (My girlfriends mom bought a mobile home out here after she sold the house in California to be closer to her cousin). My girlfriend lives with her mom and our 2yr old son. I come and go between CA and bullhead city for months at a time to be with my son. Still in the process of finding a more permanent residence out here. But I'm not feeling it. Their is next to nothing out here. No form of entertainment other then shopping or casinos,  or parks. You have a Kmart, Wal-Mart, various fast food chains,  target, Ross, bath and body, one dollar tree, plenty of gas stations, water sport rentals, repair shops, motels, stuff like that but no actual malls. And the main stores I.e walmart, Kmart, target and ross (same complex), big lots are all spread pretty decently apart from each other. Laughlin Outlet center is an absolute joke. Most stores are gone and what's left is nothing of interest or highly Read More
