Lots to do in Boston - 12/27/2007
Boston and the surrounding suburbs are within easy reach of many cultural recreational opportunities. We have symphony orchestras, opera, art, all major sports, etc. Also, both skiing and ocean beaches are just a couple of hours

LOVE Boston! - 11/19/2007
I am originally from Los Angeles. I have lived in many places, including the Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic, as well as in Europe. I have to say that I consider Boston one of the TOP places to live, especially if you are looking for a walkable, manageable city, culture and arts events, and the ability to live car-free. I certainly could never have lived that way in Los Angeles, nor in the Mid-West or the Mid-Atlantic! The down side to Boston is the weather and the high cost of living. But honestly, housing prices are not more expensive than other high-priced cities, like Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. And the HUGE plus is that I ditched the car several years ago, bought a condo in a well-connected city neighborhood where grocery stores, restaurants, bookstores, movie theatres and cafes are just across the street. I feel very safe here compared to L.A., where I felt I literally had to dodge bullets. I don't have kids, which undoubtedly colors my point of view about life here,

Most AWESOME city in America!! - 11/16/2007
Word to the wise... the naysayers on here who say Bostonians are rude or "smug", probably are just upset because they're not educated enough to get a decent enough job to enjoy the quality of life Boston has to offer! I have met NOTHING but nice people in Boston since moving here 5 years ago from Missouri. If you are looking for a city full of uneducated dregs of society, welfare types then no, Boston is probably not for you. BUT, if you believe in putting in a decent day's work to earn a great quality of life then Boston is for everyone from grocery store clerks to pediatric brain surgeons. Yes, we are mostly well-educated and even some here are very well to do, but I have never been treated rudely by anyone in this city and as I said, I have lived here for over 5 years. I will say that the least friendly people I have met seem to be the eastern European immigrant population that cannot speak English. I don't know if that is a cultural thing for them, or just an language barrier, but

Beacon Hill - 11/10/2007
Love my neighborhood, old, everything close, solid construction, classic. You cannot park but who needs a car when everything is within easy walking distance. The neighborhood has an organization for older people as well, those who want to stay in their homes. Beacon Hill Village provides assistance and transportation for a nominal

Best Small City in America - 11/8/2007
Between sports, culture, size (relatively small), and proximity to the ocean, Boston has it all. A great place to work, and relatively affordable compared to other East-coast Juggernauts NYC and DC. Traffic is a problem, but that is true in every major city on either

Great for studying Theology - 10/3/2007
Boston really is great for Theological Studies. There is access to (almost) every Christian denomination plus there is a non-denominational (Protestant) university nearby. In total there are over six institutions to study Theology. Being a student, it is possible to cross register for free, meaning that one is able to joy classes at another institution while studying at one of them. Institutions include: Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (Greek Orthodox), Boston College (Roman Catholic), Harvard Divinity School, Weston Jesuit (Roman Catholic), Gordon Cornwell (non-denominational
