Great town to grow up in - 3/26/2018
I grew up here and I loved everything about the county. There are thousands of little trails all over the place, so when I was a child we would always go running around in the woods. If you know where to go it has some of the best views around. Now that I am older, I appreciate how inexpensive everything generally is. Taxes are low and gas is always around $2. Another thing I like is the diversity in what you can do. Go down to main street for a view of the river with dinner or go to bars for a drink. There are several very good golf courses in the area. There are like 10 malls within 30 minutes. And it is close enough to downtown to visit whenever you Read More

Decent Place to live - 10/24/2008
We have lived here for going on 7 years and it is a decent place to live. We rent because most of the houses are higher than what we would care to pay for now but prices are coming down. If it wasn't for the snow n cold weather it would be a great place to live. I have arthritis and my wife is Filipina so cold doesn't really agree with either of us. Plenty of jobs and fine Churches Read More

Beautiful small town - 3/23/2008
I live in St. Charles now for a year and it is really a nice and beautiful small town with a historical downtown area and many restaurants and places to go. Crime rate is low, especially compared to the nearby St. Louis area.
Weather is usually nice, except the fact that it gets very hot in the summer. Winters are mild. A lot of festivals. I like it Read More

Get out of MISSOURI As Soon as You can.......OR EL - 1/25/2008
I wish I could say good things about Missouri but I can't. To make a long story short, I have lived there all my life and have found it to be one of the worst if not the worst place to live. Missouri is a non progressive and backward going state if I have ever seen one; every negative comment you have read is true. The economy is in shambles at best(to put it mildly) and it is a highly segregated place to live. Blacks on one side- of the Blanchette Bridge- Whites on the other. Jobs and companies are leaving Missouri in flocks and for several years between 2001-2006 Missouri lead the way in the most jobs lost in the country (unemployment is high as hell). If you don't want to grow then this the place for you; I promise you will remain stagnated. My husband and I both have College degrees (Several of them)and could not even find jobs decent enough to pay student loans. The offers I received were so low I was better off staying at home with my child. The jobs are EXTEMELY low Read More
