A city of disgrace - 6/13/2007
A city that has turned for the worse. Jobs are very few and the pay is horrible. Police are over zealous and will stop you for nothing more than being bored. The city is racially divided and has always been that way.The public school system is horrible and the private school system is judgemental. Too many churches and very few christians. Most people are poor and still vote conservative. A city with nothing too do and isolated from any major

Tulsa may not have it all... - 3/16/2007
While Tulsa may not have everything that a large city has, it does have what large cities do not. Here we have a slower pace and a much simpler way to enjoy what is important, FAMILY. I have lived in Sacramento, CA., San Diego, CA., Las Vegas, NV., and several other large cities that seem to have everything. I can tell you that the faster pace and everything to do does not make family time any better. If someone does not believe that there are plenty of things to do here just look at everything that this state has to offer. Museums, theater, animal sanctuaries, lakes, nature (not found in larger cities this is a novelty that everyone must try at least once. Tip: You will know that you have arrived when there is no concrete and very little paved roads.), Indian heritage centers, and many other things that are interesting and inexpensive to do. I think that everyone should form his or her own opinion of Tulsa. No matter where I have been, Oklahoma feels like

tulsa is trying at least - 2/22/2007
i can say that tulsa is a boring ,dull, lifeless city. that really needs a urban devolpment program like oklahoma city. not that okc is much better it's not. tulsa has pretty trees and foothills of the ozarks. nice trails for biking, and a great river walk. but there needs to be a major clean up of the city.driving on I-244 is a 20 mile journey in the ghetto. I live here so i an say that. if we could get the downtown in a revitalize program like okc i think tulsa would be a great place to visit and to live. most people that live here enjoy the cherry street pubs and brookside. but for the most part downtown is empty with homeless people that sleep under bridges and ditches.not a good sign for visiters wanting to create business here. but hey if okc could get cleaned up so can tulsa. the people here cannot be beat. very laid back and open. that makes the city worth

Truth hurts sometimes - 2/20/2007
I resent being called a racist. I never pointed out a particular ethic group associated with crime. I have just live in the Tulsa area my whoe life and know that north and northeast (areas north of highway 51)are the areas where you need to aviod. Just turn on the television and watch the news. Every night they have some report on a robbery, rape, or homicide in some run down neighborhood or apartment complex in the north or northeastern areas of Tulsa. Oh and thanks for the comment about the white kids in Broken Arrow. Lets make sure we point our fingers at them for their wrong doings too. Watch the evening news and you'll soon realize its not just the white teens from the suburbs shooting Tulsa's crime rate through the
