Living in Oregon is great and I would want to stay here if it were not for the fact I now have a dog and for the housing costs being a bit much now that I'm retired and on a fixed income. I want a bit less rain so I don't have to walk the dog in the rain during the fall/winter/spring and sometimes summer. The people here are great, there's lots to do, it's beautiful and if not for the dog, and housing costs and the property taxes I wouldn't even consider moving. So...I just want to do some research and see what else is out there. I may choose to stay or I may find something eventually that says, check this place out, it just might work for you and the dog.
