While doing recent research on this area, I find that water restrictions have come into play. I currently live in the desert (Las Vegas) and live under these same restrictions. You can only water your lawn, etc. on specified assigned days, car washing is at a minimum if allowed at all, and the water usage is tiered so that you pay a premium for this now liquid gold. Being in the desert and owning a swimming pool means my water bills rival my other utility costs. I am looking for somewhere else to live, but unfortunately, I've had to cross Dallas off of my list.
