Review of Houston, Texas

Won't be too critical
Star Rating - 5/9/2006
I won't be too critical but this place sucks. It is not family oriented at all, and to get any recreational you must travel, which is horrific here. The city is full crooks who are all power and money hungry. I have never been to a city where the tow trucks sit around and literally wait for the cop to trap you and then race nearlly killing themselves and others to take your vehicle to the pound, seems to me this should be entrapment. Kids get tickets (yah I said tickets - like traffic tickets) in school for ridiculous reasons (just another way to get more money). I am in the medical office field and I have lived here 11 months and still have not found a job. The hospitality here is non existance, if you can understand what they are saying in the first place. I call it Little Mexico, it is impossible to go anywhere and have a understandable conversation, and forget a thank you have a nice day gesture, not here. The whole city is impolite and rude. Sure they helped with the Katrina evacuees but you better believe that if it wasn't voting season, and there was nothing to gain they wouldn't of even blinked. Now they all have there hands wide open expecting nothing more than to receive the motivator (MONEY), and for them to get out of here. I could go on and on, but like I said I would'nt get too critical (you may seem I have already done so, but this is actually being gentle as far as I am concerned). Just my oponion, do your own research everyone's ideal of a great place is different.
