Review of Houston, Texas

Education in the Houston area needs work
Star Rating - 10/4/2009
We don't do a good enough job educating our young here. Granted we have much more than our share of minority kids and their parents who don't speak english(I've seen that argument in print many times) but this is reality and we just hired a very expensive head educator from another state to lead us toward better education. If we don't make a dent in our lag in educating the next generation the crime will get worse because they won't be able to support themselve; the economy will get worse because no one will be able to pay the high property tax rates or the sales tax. It all hinges on education.
