Rapidly becoming a third world city

Having lived in Houston since 1971 I can report that the quality of life has deteriorated to unacceptable. If you love dirty air, high crime rate, terrible schools, high taxes and traffic congestion beyond imagination then you will love Houston, Texas. City government is pretty much gustappo style, and in general the State Of Texas is following California with its high taxes and fees. Now, Texas has passed a business income tax plan that will make the State an extremely hostile environment for business. Beware, you have been warned !
