What I most appreciate about Houston is it's multi-culturalism. It is a vivid city, bustling with activities anywhere you go. I love hearing all the different languages spoken here, even on a supermarket line. I like the food diversity, the cultural diversity, the tolerance, the beautiful skyline, the green bayous and slow moving creeks. I like the mix of old and new in some neighborhoods. I also feel the youth in Houston in its music and nightlife. The movie theatres are always packed on the weekends, and so are the parks, no matter the size. I most enjoy easy strolling on Herman Park grounds, because I've done it since I was barely a toddler. I like the way Houstonians pull together to help other countries, and the way there's always a marathon going on in some part of the city to raise funds for good causes. My favorite place in downtown Houston is the Texas Museum of Natural History and the Heritage Park, I worked there when I was young and the Docents are really Houston proud and dedicated to telling our story on the Bayou. I just wish Astro World would have stayed around, I really miss it and the Astrodome, too.
