Looking for nice neighborhoods to relocate to.

I'm in the Southern California desert, but want to move to Houston. Please, ANYONE, do you know or can you recommend some good neighborhoods. I have tons of relatives, neighbors, and co-workers, ready to move in the next few months and couple of years.
